Dalton McGuinty in Action!

Not happy to just break his promises, provincial Fiberal leader Dalton McGuinty is now trying to keep his promises by lowering provincial education standards. Christina Blizzard writes that "Students in Grades 3 and 6 are also allowed dictionaries, spellcheckers, thesauruses (thesauri?) and computers, if the student usually uses one. Sheesh. Why not go all the way and let mom and dad come into the test as well and give the kid the answers? Let's not bother teaching kids their times tables any more. They can just haul around a calculator for the rest of their lives."

What's next? For his promise of reduced waiting times for medical procedures is he going to redefine "waiting time" to mean from the time you enter the hospital to the time the surgery begins and call the two yeas before that pre-waiting time?

Probably could get re-elected in Ontario though - Promise made, Promise kept!

Dumb them down and ship them out... fodder for the capitalists and socialists.
